We are a new, growing lab in the Department of Botany at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute and thrive.
We seek highly motivated individuals who are excited about our research topics, including photosynthesis, CO2 fixation, algal biology, signal transduction, and gene expression and regulation.
We especially value curiosity, honesty, friendliness, diligence, perseverance, and a strong sense of responsibility, as we believe these qualities are essential for conducting independent research in a collaborative environment.
• Undergraduate Students: If you are interested in joining our lab for a senior thesis or to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge biological research, please email Shan with your experience and expectations.
• Graduate Rotation Students: If you are in a rotation program and looking for a lab, please email Shan to schedule a meeting.
